Cleveland-native, Mark Addison was the songwriter behind The Generators and Nation of One, two 80’s bands who created a music buzz around the region. He eventually moved to Los Angeles and formed The Borrowers. The band only released one record but it was excellent. A little fun fact — The Generators inspired the 1987 movie ‘Light of Day’ which starred Michael J. Fox and Joan Jett and was filmed in Cleveland. Addison had a small bit part in a scene shot at the old Euclid Tavern — he appeared as a member of the fictional electronic band The Problems, sharing lead vocal duties with Trent Reznor a couple years before Reznor started Nine Inch Nails.
